We were honored to attend Web Summit 2021 this month, one of the most significant tech events to take place since the pandemic began.
We had the opportunity to meet and learn from innovators and tech leaders from all over the world, and it was great to reconnect with the local organizations that have supported us from the very beginning and make so many new connections.
During Web Summit, our Co-Founder and CEO Matt Waite had the opportunity to get on stage and pitch Apres in front of the tech community.
Portugal has captured quite a bit of media attention this year as remote work becomes the norm and digital nomads head to locations that offer great weather, low living costs, and a burgeoning tech community.
During the event, we sat down with Ana Pimental and friends from Invest Lisboa and Startup Portugal to discuss Lisbon’s rise as an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our Co-Founder and CEO Matt Waite also shared why he decided to move from the US to found a startup in Portugal.
We also had the opportunity to meet Jonathan Littman, who wrote a beautiful article describing the lifestyle in Portugal for American technologists.
